The exhibition "Stop, Sit, and Life" records the persistence and focus of an ordinary Chinese man from Fujian Province for 62 consecutive years. Regardless of the change of dynasties or the ups and downs of life, he insisted on taking a portrait every year. This photography exhibition with the theme of "ordinary witnessing extraordinary" not only unveiled the epic of life that has been sealed for more than half a century, but also set off a contemporary meditation on "history and culture" and "memory and existence".

The opening ceremony was hosted by David Lai, the manager of 5A1 Art Space, and the curator Chun Wai explained to the audience the background and story of the creation of the photography exhibition "Stop, Sit, and Life". In addition, 5A1 Art Space specially prepared exquisite desserts and champagne for everyone, hoping that everyone will appreciate a great photographic work in the history of Chinese photography in a relaxed and happy atmosphere.

At the beginning of the opening ceremony, Mr. David Lai said: "Mr. Ye Jinglv is not an artist, but after I saw this work, I realized that he has actually spent his entire life on a great art project."

Regarding the theoretical aspects of photography art, Mr. Chun Wai will give a lecture on Western mirror theory in the near future, explaining in detail selfies, portraits and deeper philosophical theories.

Through Mr. Chun's detailed explanation, the audience not only gained a deeper understanding of this "legendary figure", but also aroused everyone's deep thinking. "An ordinary person, using the lens to measure the dimension of life, completed a solemn narrative that spanned centuries."

Although the opening ceremony has ended, this gaze spanning a century has just begun.

The exhibition will run until April 17th.
